Lake Como in Italy, The gate of Paradise

Lake Como is located in the province of Lombardy, northern Italy. It is part of the Italian Lake District. Its popularity with visitors for more than 100 years because they contain fresh air, water, mountains, good weather, and, of course, is still worth a visit.

Lake on the y-shaped inverted with the legs, from Como in the south-west Lecco in the south-east, which joins together half way and the lake extends Colico in the north. After a few kilometers of the leg at the southern end of the lake which is relatively flat, but the Lake Como nature more mountainous as you are heading north to the Alps. Some nearby peaks go a little above the tree line. In the winter, and there you can enjoy skiing in the nearby valleys.

Perimeter of the lake, is a nice feature. It contains a kind of taste and a sense of history that tends to impress visitors and give them a deeper sense. Has been appreciated for their beauty and splendor of the landscape, even in the early Roman era. Was its atmosphere and its surroundings, the natural source of inspiration for many visitors.

Como - located at the southern end of the lake, the main town in the lake is a good base and despite the lack of attractiveness as some other cities, it still contains elegant resort. The town has a population of approximately 80,000 people and has Roman origins.

Tremezzo - a beautiful little town, directly across the Bellagio. The main attraction is the source Villa Carlotta with its magnificent botanical garden and waterfront.

Griante - a small village situated on a hill on the western side of Lake Como. Well worth a visit to the content of breathtaking views and also contain di San Martino, a small church perched high on the side of the mountain.

Menaggio - the main town on the west coast, the city is not considered attractive tourist city as Bellagio and Farina. Has a great walking paths and the cafes, and restaurants. Also find mini golf and you'll find restaurants to snack.
