Two airports serving the Reykjavik area, airport for international flights and another for domestic purposes. Located too far from each other, with an estimated several hours between flights if you must go between them.
Many cruise ships stop in Reykjavik every summer, mostly to arrive in the city center. Cruz Iceland is a Web site operated by several companies and operates cruise ships in the country, they have many of the boats that sail to Iceland.
It is highly recommended walking in Reykjavik, as many of the attractions just a short walk from the hotel. this City is very great, and the pavement on the road system is made of first-class.
Ancient city of Reykjavik addressed a small city and easy to walk around. Houses have some very obvious features, most notably the distinctive bright colors that hurling of mineral colors. Plan to spend at least a few hours just to wander. There are many museums and art galleries in the city, most of them fall within walking distance of the downtown area.
Reykjavik has a style very unique building, which is basically the result of poor planning of the city. Many of the oldest houses still standing and wooden buildings covered in bright colors. Should not be surprised to see the old buildings that rise from the bottom of the street built in the early 20th century by the new-classical concrete. You will see some of the buildings the most interesting.
